How secure is my Homesteaders policy?

Homesteaders’ approach to investing is focused on maintaining a strong financial position for the benefit of our policy owners.

Our business hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (Central Time).

Who do I contact about my prearranged funeral plan?

If you have specific questions about the items and services selected as part of your existing prearranged funeral plan, we encourage you to contact the funeral home where you made the plan. If you need assistance or information about your policy terms or payments, please contact our Customer Service team.

Please note: Changes to your funeral plan may also require changes to your Homesteaders insurance policy. We recommend that you first contact your funeral home to discuss any changes you wish to make to your funeral plan. Then, your funeral home will contact us to determine how these changes may impact your insurance policy.

Why should I fund with an insurance product?

There are many reasons why a person chooses insurance to fund their advance funeral plan, including flexible payment plans and coverage throughout the life of the policy, regardless of when death occurs.

I already have insurance. Do I need this too?

Life insurance is often used to provide for your family's living expenses after you die. By funding your funeral plan in advance with Homesteaders, you preserve your life insurance benefits so your family can use them as originally intended.

What happens to my policy if I move?

Your Homesteaders policy is fully transferable. Although prices for funeral services and merchandise may vary between providers, your coverage can continue growing to offset inflation regardless of where you live.
